Exploring the path of an aspiring marketer

A Blog for Aspiring Marketers

When I first came into college, I knew that I wanted to have a career that was influenced by people, relationships, and business. Little did I know, my goal of becoming an Industrial-Organizational Psychologist would soon be turned into an all out sprint into marketing. I told my friends that I wanted to market because explaining and showing things to people in ways that would convince them to spend their time and money on it—that’s what I wanted in marketing. But really I had no idea what marketing entailed. I didn’t know the different departments and careers within marketing, or what marketing really was.

This blog is for that past version of me and for anyone trying to discover marketing as a viable career path. I’ll concentrate specifically on my millennial generation–Generation Y and Generation Z high school and college students who are trying to discover their passions, because that’s where I have the most direct experience.

I aspire to be one of the most innovative, successful, passionate, and creative marketers in the business. I can think of no other way to learn than to share me experiences and feeding off of yours. This blog will document my journey toward my goal, and I’ll share my experiences with you as we learn together.

Cheers,

Minhtri
